HIVE: The Immersive Learning Network
What is MindBlown Hive?
Hive is a Discord community where you can meet like-minded professionals who have worked in the Transformative & Immersive sectors or have professional interest in the benefits of creating development experiences that go beyond the passive. It is a dedicated space for those interested in the growing intersection of Transformative and Immersive experiences.
Who is Hive aimed at?
Although anyone with an interest in learning more about transformative immersive experiences is welcome, these are some of the professionals that we believe will find Hive particularly beneficial:
- Creatives & designers of transformative and/or immersive experiences, particularly games or those which encourage play.
- Facilitators and those working in the field of behavioural science, psychology & group dynamics
- Psychometric and Learning & Development companies / consultancies
- Corporates who are interested in the latest approaches in Learning & Development
For Learning & Development professionals and facilitators, we believe Hive offers an insight into how immersive experiences can totally transform your effectiveness and give completely new types of experience – with participants learning through here-and-now doing.
For creators and designers of immersive experiences, we believe Hive offers a way to leverage your skills in a sector that has not yet seen your full potential.

Why have we created Hive?
MindBlown was formed through the belief that we are only just starting to scratch the surface of intentionally achieving transformation through immersive experiences. We love all kinds of immersive experiences – but transformation is MindBlown’s nectar.
When we speak to professionals involved in delivering transformative immersive experiences we find a joy in connecting with others with these interests and passions. This is an emergent sector with currently very few players. Being able to learn and discuss what others are doing in the field and sharing our own work in this space has been a delightful journey so far and we therefore wanted to create a forum for all these amazing talents and creative people to meet each other. Together we can go on to inspire and grow this new industry to even more amazing levels!
What do we mean by Transformative and Immersive experiences?
By Transformative experiences, we mostly refer here to experiences delivered into Learning & Development by corporate professionals.
By Immersive experiences, we refer to experiences where the manner in which participants take part in an environment where the experience leads them to behave in natural ways for them, as if it were really happening. The experience normally invokes a state of “play” in the participants, which is crucial for learning and development that sticks.
